Pinpointers

Have a question about Pinpointers.

How much difference is there between the Whites Pinpointer and
the Garrett Pinpointer they sell?

Will any signals from the Garrett pinpointer create
interferance with the V3.

I already have the Whites that came with the Santa Pak but....
wondering if anyone can provide an honest comparison.

Don't know about signal interferance, but the Garret has noticeably more depth than the White's from what I've seen.

The Garrett Pro Pointer is the better handheld, but the SunRay DX-1 is the way to go if you want to get serious about a pinpointer, but we have been through this on the SunRay forum.

I'm a big White's fan and own three machines. I use the Garrett PP because of increased depth but it does interfere with my MXT.

I have all 3 Whites, Garrett and SunRay. The Garrett works alot better than the Whites, alot more sensitive and durable. I also find that it is alot more sensitive than my SunRay probe also. I like not having to deal with the wires and switch of the SunRay. The Garrett however does interfere big time with my V3, kind of irritating, that is the only con I can say about it. I dont know why some guys feeel the SunRay is so superior to the Garrett.
