Is there any difference between the Makro pinpointer and the Nokta other than the color?
Dilek just posted the technical differences for you a few hours ago, so all I can add is the in-the-field comparisons between the Makro and Nokta Pinpointers.
First, to be clear on this matter, I own and use both of these devices and parted with all other hand-held pinpointers in February of last year after I got and used the Makro Pointer.
Colors are slightly different.
Physical shape and the comfort of fit in the hand? ... Excellent.
Location of the speaker? ... Excellent as it is in the end of the handgrip and isn't on the side of the handle part to be covered with your hand or dirt.
Range of Sensitivity adjustments? ... Excellent and a notable adjustment range from weakest to strongest Sensitivity settings, and more hearable by folks like me with impaired hearing..
Vibrate function performance? ... Excellent, being a little stronger and easier to feel for most people compared with most of the competition.
Functionality to adjust Sensitivity levels and select Vibrate, Audio, or both Vibrate & Audio? ... Excellent, using the simple external controls and not confusing like some brands that require the use of one button to make multiple adjustments.
Depth of Detection/Sensitivity to a good range of targets and sizes? ... Guess what, the answer is still Excellent!
Take your pick between them as they are both top-quality, top-performing hand-held Pinpointers. I know because I use them.
