pinpointer

For my dos centavos it's the Garrett Pro Pointer also. It's rugged, simple to use and , no bling bling. Some folks say it is too loud, but you can hear it without taking your head phones off., or just make a couple of wraps with electric tape around the volume slits to reduce the volume, that will also add water and dust protection. Garrett Pro-Pointer = less time retriving targets = more time detecting = more finds per hunt

What kind of detector do you use? There are three ways to go with a pinpointer and Dave5710 hit the nail on the head, less time recovering, more time detecting for all of them. The Garrett pro pointer is the best handheld IMO but my best seller 20 to 1 is the SunRay inline if you have the detector that takes one. The third is the cheap route, you can buy a lot of $15 Harbor Freight pin pointers for what the more expensive ones cost. It is the SunRay inline for me 100%.

I'm not a Sunray dealer like Larry and I've never used one so I can't say anything pro or con about the Sunray.

Of the ones I've used The Pro-Pointer is by far the best. I've been using one for over 1 1/2 years now and I see the chorus of supporters just keep growing and growing.

It's simple to use, works great and it's rugged which is important because to me because my pinpointers take a beating. You get a two year warranty so if it breaks or quits working as well as it should in those two years, Garrett apparently sends out a brand spankin' new one in no time flat. That's what they did for me, anyway.

I think the Garrett Pro-Pointer with the coin trick will double your depth (sensitivity) is the best
for your money.
