Pinpointer trigger switch on Racer kaput or?

I just got back from a detecting road trip on some old relic sites (more on that in a separate post!), but I had a funky issue. The Racer did a great job, but one day we hiked into an old spot to check out and the trigger for the pinpoint function did nothing. It worked fine for ground balance when pushing it forward, but pulling it back to pinpoint and not a peep. I thought for sure the trigger switch went out, but the next day when I used it, it seemed to work OK.

I guess I should get it checked out, but I hate to send it in at the beginning of our relic season :stretcher:

Hope it was just a fluke Cal. May have just been the location, good luck with it and let us know the outcome.

I noticed the trigger switch in cold weather sticks from ground balance forward too run mode any ideas on why?

Mine did the same yesterday it would not GB...I had taken off the coil cover and when I came home I looked at the bottom of the coil and never have any of my other coils for other detectors showed so much wear. One hunt and I have to put it on from now on...I did take the trigger and losen the nut and wiggled the switch and it worked...
