Pinpointer Question

Can the Garrett pinpointers lose depth over time? Mine is only a year old but has been used A LOT. Seems to be not as deep as when I first got it. Any ideas?

I haven't really notice a difference with mine? I know when my battery gets run down, it does lose some depth.

Pastor Bob: Place the tip of the propointer on a solid piece of metal, digger or knife blade, then turn it on ,lift it straight up about one foot, turn it off, then turn it back on and check it with a coin. This is essentially a factory reset, if your battery is good, should reset your depth. Steve

Interesting...I will have to remember that if I ever experience an issue.
