Pinpointer opinions on Garrett Pro vs Minelab Pro-find 25 ?

I've never used a pinpointer before and I'm going to purchase one. I've seen alot of positive on the Garrett Pro in the past and I'm also looking at the Minelab Pro-find. I was wondering if anyone had some feedback on which might be the better choice, and why.
Thanks, Bruce

I hunted for years without a pinpointer................................purchased a Garrett Pro pinpointer about 2 years ago. It works great and has been trouble free, also battery life is good as well.. I couldn't see myself ever hunting without one ever again.......

I've had both, even being a Minelab Fan, I prefer the Garrett, the best metal detector that they have came out with in the last few years!!!....Mark

Garrett all the way .. Mine is in it's 3rd year and still running strong. And I just bought a brand new one the other day to keep for a spare .. or if someone tags along and wants to detect. Can't beat their warranty service either ..

Garrett Propointer

[size=large]This little survey has been very helpful. just not for ML. i was wondering how i was going to find out if the ML pointer was as good as the hype and videos make it out to be. guess it isn't. love my Garretts. like MCdave i have two. just in case i get a guest hunter to come along.

I guess its okay to disagree some here. I think they are both pretty much the same, IMHO. I have and use both plus half a dozen more that sit in the garage. I think the Garrett holster is much better. In terms of range and usage the two units I have are both very good and each has a plus or two feature wise, but I would not be comfortable going all in for Garrett. Again its my experience and clearly not everyones.
