pinpointer mount?

I received a minelab pinpointer that I ordered from a forum member. Before it arrived I had seen a couple different mounts on eBay to mount it to the upper shaft. I almost ordered one but after looking at the holster the pinpointer comes with I got the bright idea to zip tie it to the upper shaft through the belt loop. It worked like a charm but didn't like the extra weight on the shaft. I cut it off and zip tied it above the hand grip. Much better place and the detector swings much better. I can'tpossibly be the first person to try thistc Has anyone come up with a different way to mount their pinpointer to the detector?

I always preferred the upper shaft location. When you flipped the switch to go to pinpoint, just pull the probe off the shaft. Likewise, when replacing the pinpointer, just hit the switch..........Weight? the probe itself only weighs a few ounces, I never really noticed the weight...But whatever works for each, is what counts..HH
