Pinpoint doesn't sound off on the old CZ6A anymore

Hello All

Pinpoint button suddenly stop working. The button seems to be "clicking" in crisply and there are no other signs of damage. I could probably learn to live without the pinpoint sound as I can still ground balance using the bobbing method. And "X"ing over a target to pinpoint is something that I do anyhow occasionally. It is nice to have the pinpoint VCO though when you are trying to get as close as you can over a deep target.

Any ideas how much this might cost if I send it to Fisher to have it fixed?

No idea on cost.

I would miss the pinpoint. Besides better locating a target when I have the big coil on, I use it for depth info too. When I get anything that isn't all low tone and it shows more than 8 inches deep on pin point ... it has to come out of the ground!

Give the service department a call and talk to them.
Cheers,

VCO pinpoint on a CZ is hard to beat for accurate pinpointing and that low growl lets you know you have a deep one..I would throw in another set of batteries as the pinpoint button always tells me when batteries are low..If not the problem call Fisher for an estimate...
