pinpoint chatter

Could anyone tell me why sometimes when I get a signal , move the coil away from target and go into pinpoint, and when I go back to the target and try to pinpoint I get a chattering tone even when Imove the coil away and up from the target...If I go out of pinpoint and back into normal coin mode and back into pinpoint it works okay again...

Not sure, but how is the mineralization where you hunt? I can rarely use pinpoint as I hunt saltwater beaches. are there mutiple targets or a good target and trash? I sure don't know, just thinking out loud..Larry

Try a reverse pinpoint. I read about it on the Explorer class room and it seems to work. As you pass over the target you want, hit the pinpoint button as it gives you a tone. This will cause a null on the target you are looking for while the others sound off as normal.
