Pine Tree Shiiling update

Hi all,

For those of you who remember, I found a Pine Tree Shilling last March. After a long and tedious process, it is about 15 minutes away from being auctioned off LIVE in Long Beach. Internet and mail bids, which ended last night, brought it up to $1800. I'm hoping to get a couple of folks out in Cal engaged in a bidding war and hopefully drive the price way up.

It was graded as XF40 details with environmental damage, but it really looks awesome on the website- Heritage did a great job on the listing and pics.

As I'm a registered Heritage user, I get to watch the auction as it happens- I'm so psyched!

Wish me luck!!!

HH all.

I made a pormise to the homeowner before we started that if I found anything of significance that we would sell and split- keeping it was never an option as I gave him my word.

I sure as heck do remember, Jeff! What an awesome find!

Where did it end up? (I did a search but the most recent one that came up was Aug. 03.)

If you're anything like me, that must have hurt. I would have wanted to keep it but wouldn't have been able to afford to pay off the landowner for half it's value.

I thought it would go for more, but what can you do? A promise is a promise. The homeowner gets half, my hunting partner and I split the rest- still the find of my lifetime.

My golf season ends in about 4 weeks, then it's back to full-time hunting- maybe I'll find something even better this fall.

Thanks for all the kind words and good luck to everyone this season.

How many people can say they have found a Pine Tree Shilling?.....Not many is my guess.....If any place there is more....it will be in Mass. Keep digging Jeff......:goodnight:
