PIN POINTING

Flintstone

Well-known member
Hi Guys, Well i had the 101/2" coil on the CZ7A, and though that was why i didn,t pin point very good,so i got a 8" coil and still don,t pin point very good. I have used my MXT for 8years now and have no trouble. What am i doing wrong? The depth is off also, most coins read at o depth, and are 1 to 2" deep. Could there be something wrong with my CZ7A, or is it just harder to learn? Any help would be nice, Thanks Dean

Your depth reading is a range and should be on all machines. When I pinpoint with the cz I rarely use the pinpoint button, only on really deep targets or suspisious ones. I lift the coil and pump it as I do so and if it's a coin and I've reached the limit of coin ID on it, it's centered over the target and I can see how deep it is by the position of the coil. When you get used to this sytem of pinpointing in discrimonation, it is more accurate, faster, and you have more information about the target. A sixteen inch target for example is too large to be a coin. Your batteries will last longer too. Now for coin shooting You will find more of them if you'll get one of those 5 inch coils too.

Thanks Garwha, I will try that, I have only been out hunting 2 or 3 times with it, i hope i get better. Thanks for the reply,i am trying to get a 5" coil, hope it will be here tomarrow. How deep will the 5" go will it get 6" on a dime? Thanks Flintstone
