pin pointing with the new 8.5 x 11 dd coil

Pinpointing with the Ace 350 is horrible. It's not very accurate. I've done it every which way a person can do it. I don't even bother pinpointing with it anymore. Just swing the coil till the front tip is hitting and then start digging.

When I use the 350 I usely find the best spot is in the Hole right in front of the shaft It took me awhile to find the right spot and some times I am off a little But for the most part I am not that far off

Hole in front of shaft, right on.After you do that re pinpoint without moving the head to much coins should be right under the the first hole.

If that video doesn't work for you try this method on the DD coil on retuning the coil http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liyIUKonpGs

This seems to work real good. The only problem that I've found even though you have the target pin pointed you can't find the target. Most most cases its just deeper than you thought. Also start with reasonable size grass plug so you don't have to work the sides if you find the target deeper than you thought. The deeper you go the wider the sides have to be. Good luck.
