Pin Pointing with a PI Machine...?

EasySwing

New member
I have the Sea Hunter Mark II and noticed when targeting an object the object sounds off while the coil is stationary over the object as well as in motion. Is motion necessary to target the object with a PI Machine in general? Or... is my Sea Hunter different? I have the MXT and it requires constant motion for pin pointing.
Thanks, EZ

If a detector has Auto Retune then it will have to be in motion to detect and pinpoint; If not then you will get a signal continuously while holding the coil over the target.
