You must be just about"leaning" on the coin to find it with the Automax - V4 - they are HORRIBLE !
The Garrett Pro Pointer is the best $125.00 you will ever spend !
I find coins at 2" + all the time - many coins can be detected from the surface before digging with the Garrett Pro Pointer .
This means much smaller plugs - less mess - and a lot of saved time across the day!
Just get one - you'll love it !!!
