pin pointer

Hello,
I've had my CTX30_30 for a while and I'm frustrated with the accuracy of the target under the coil. A friend has the Sun Ray pointer on his Explorer SE, does anybody know if there is a Sun Ray probe for the CTX?

If not, what are your recommendations and or reviews of other pin pointers or probes?

Thanks

Billy

Nope no Sun ray..its not possible with the smart coil, the Garrett pro pointer works well,I hear the Minelab pro find is good also

There is also more than one technique to pinpoint with the CTX. You can use your pinpoint function, or use the 'wiggle back' technique. Get your coil over the target, swing your coil just enough to get your signal from side to side, then pull the coil slowly towards you while you are moving it side to side. When the sound of the target disappears, it is only an inch or two straight out from the notch in the front of your coil. With practice, this method works well too. Definitely need a pinpointer tho if you don't already have one.

The pin pointer on the CTX is pretty accurate. Teacup on sizing. That is suppose to narrow the target size down also.

I have had a Garrett pro pointer for three years. Nothing is any better than that. I had the inline probe on my whites. Took it off because
It is nowhere close to the depth of the Pro Pointer.

I have the Garretts pro pointer, it works fine no prolems but thinking about giveing the new Minlab pointer a try too.
