pin pointer ?

Right now I am using a bounty hunter pin pointer & like it because it has a rounded end that can be used to probe in soft dirt or in a hole made by a screwdriver. My problem is that I am old & falling apart. Can't hear can't see & with my friend Arthur I Tis have a hard time feeling the vibration it makes. It also is only good for about 1 inch, been thinking about a Garrett or a sun ray but have never used either so I don't want to spent that king of money if it won't be any better than the bounty hunter.

I need one that is loud any suggestions. Larry or Nancy don't you both use the same pointer?

Bula, Yes Larry and I both have the SunRay pinpointer on our machines. If you can hear through your headphones, you'll be able to hear the SunRay, but the price is cashy. In all honesty, I would have to get another SunRay if something ever happened to mine. Larry can quote you a price on them along with free shipping. PM him if you're interested Bula. You take care and HH, Nancy

Nancy, are they flat on the end or round, & about how far away can they pick up a coin ?

You can go to Sunray for some pictures Bula http://www.sunraydetector.com

The end is more flat than round, it has a slight convex end to it. Nancy will have to speak for herself, but I get up to three inches deep with mine. Depth will vary with your gain setting, more gain..more depth, especially in pinpoint mode. I charge $175 shipped to the lower 48.

Yes, Larry has the depth, etc. right. HH, Nancy

Larry, that sounds like that is what I need, however I will have to find a few more gold rings before I can afford it. Thanks for the info.

The Sunray probe is a lifesaver and well worth the cost. It speeds up recovery time a good deal. I wish they made them for some of my other detectors.
