has or is anyone using the garrett super scanner as a pin pointer and how does it do thanks in advance

Dmd3058 i have used the garrett propointer since last year and would not hunt with out it now lol.Its an awsome coin locator once you dig a plug and can be used to find exactly where to dig the plug by locating exact location of coin after pinpointing holding it to the ground if coin is not more then three inches deep..You will love it...Markmac

i have the pro pointer but i was interested in knowing about the super scanner for my brother but wasnt sure how they are different other than size

For security detection or playing paddle ball this thing is fine, for metal detection the way we need it done, the Propointer is way better.

The superscanner needs to be moving to detect metal, the PP does not.
The size is a problem, and I don't think the range is quite the same, either.
Especially when you can supertune the PP.

I use nothing else but the Propointer when I hunt and I will not hunt without it.
Got a second one as a backup because I almost lost my first one...twice!

The Propointer is a very nice pinpointer. I wouldn't want to hunt with out one. Great service too. I sent mine in a month ago for a minor problem. Garrett didn't send me my unit repaired. They sent me a brand new Propointer w/another warranty card . Mike
