This is just some of the jewelry finds Ive made over the last few years.
When I find anything other than trash, I handle it one of two ways:
1. Coins.
These are sorted into containers: cents in one, clad in another and old coins into a safe box. When I have enough cents or clad I tumble them and toss them into my treasure chest to await rolling.
2. Other "Keepers."
This can be anything from pocket knives to battery terminals (both of which I found yesterday). This also includes most common jewelry. I just toss everything in a plastic bin box, to sort through some other time.
** The nice stuff goes on Lori's hand or into her jewelry box. The good stuff she doesnt want to wear goes into the safe box with the coins. **
Today I took a poke through my Keeper box, pleased to see all the odds and ends of jewelry in there. I sorted it out and was really boggled by it all. I have more, too, scattered and squirreled away here and there. It's amazing how this stuff piles up over time. I even found a 1945-S Philipino wartime contract coin, a 50 centavo piece, I had forgotten about!
You know whats really interesting? I can recall where I found most of this stuff, even what detector I was using at the time! For example, see the colorful little butterfiles, upper center? They were found with a 1266X I once owned, at a local school.
Now, where did I put the rest of that stuff?? ...
