Marcia and I walked down to the resort,to see if it was still standing,OH YES,it sure is ......We wandered the grounds just looking;its not posted.WAY back on the other side tucked away,we discovered a PAVED WALKWAY,that ran all the way to the dune bluff overlooking Lake Michigan,and the stairway down to the beach(Remember my story ofMarcia and I climbing those stairs a while back,and a step collapsing under me,causing both of my shins MUCHO pain??)...Seems all along there was this PAVED walkway up the bluff,all I had to do was LOOK AROUND a little more.
We made it to the top of the bluff,probly 200 feet or more,above beach,view was AWESOME
BEST PART was the property stakes marking the boundaries for the resort,were in plain view,along with the fact the public entrance near the Old Channel Trail Inn was in plain sight from up there,looks to be an EASY 200-250 Yd walk up the beach to the resort's property boundaries.........As a side note,there is also a ghost town ,known as Ferrysville,within sight somewhere around Marcia's house.(PETE:We are in Muskegon county.any info on Ferrysville???),not to mention MANY old driveways and home sites,all up and down Old Channel Trail....I want to find out who bought Pigeon Hill Resort which was in foreclosure;as to maybe gaining permission to 
there;but dont know where to look....If I get permission,I might see if I can gain permission,for a FEW FRIENDS from this forum,to join me
