Is there a picture posting tutorial somewhere on the site?
Can you post direct from your hard drive or do you need a picture host site?

thanks

Use Windows "Paint".
Right click on your picture, open your picture with PAINT/ than "Image"/ Than "resize and skew". Adjust the size so that the KB are not to large. Not larger than 420 KB. After you resize your picture, Right click on the picture again and check "Properties" for (KB size) Then you can post your picture.

I do not think you have to have a host. You should be able to just upload pictures right from your hard drive. I use a program called faststone image viewer. It will allow you to save photos at a lower quality setting while retaining a good size.

When you post or reply, you see an Attachments option to Upload File. Click on it and it opens a Browse option (I usually pull off my desktop) and an upload option.
Then it shows the Attachments and to the right of that a box "Create link in message" I'll hit the "enter" key first to bring the cursor to the left side
[cursor] here then click on that "Create link in message"
Lets see here [test]

I got "attachment 114051 DetectorFamily.jpg" ....... DetectorFamily was the name of the pic and in jpg format.
Like already mentioned in a reply, you don't want a large file size.
Can resize the file, or like me most times will set the camera to low quality email size settings which will create a smaller file compared to a higher quality photo.
Then when you hit the Post message - well, lets see here:unsure:
K - now I just brought this back up (edit) because I ended up with the pic twice as I tried the brackets [ ] with the file name after the pic was already posted. Guess it got seen twice, so now removing the brackets [ ] replacing with " " and will hit Save Changes option at the bottom.
K - again, lets see

Thanks for the help guys.
It is easy as pie when you know how...

Photo bucket is the way to go, so easy. A Silver Denarius of Roman Emperor Dometian - found in southern England

This one was sized at 120kb

A broken and incomplete Roman Broach (missing the pin) just recovered from the ground after nearly 2000 years.

This one was sized at nearly 400kb Notice the difference in size when both are clicked and enlarged.
