Pictures from the Neighborhood Duck Pond................

Kelley (Texas)

New member
I went by the neighborhood duck pond near our house and took these pictures. I was surprised at how bad the conditions were at the pond, water level way down, water was dirty, and lots of trash. Even the ducks looked to be in poor condition and showed the effects of the 50 mph winds we had the other day. I took these pictures with my older Sony A200 DSLR with a vintage (1985) minolta 100-200mm F4.5 lens. Kelley (Texas) :)

Right now the geese are in breeding season, so I have been staying away from them lately. Not sure if the ducks are in breeding season here tho.

they tend to be not very friendly. The ones down here are mean tempered and best left alone. If you have stale bread to feed them, they will be nice to you as long as you are feeding them, but once the bread is gone, look out because they get down right mean. Kelley (Texas) :)

Don't know much about ducks other than they are good eating on the dinner table. Kelley (Texas) :)
