Pictures From Peterborough, England (part 1)

Hello everyone!

I went on a tour of the Peterborough Cathedral today and it was so AMAZING that I couldn't wait to get back to my computer so I could share a few photos with you.

A quick little history run down; the first church on this site was a monastery in 655. It was destroyed in 870 by a Danish attack. A new church was constructed in 972 and for almost 600 years Peterborough followed the gentle rule of St. Benedict. The Build again saw great destruction in 1070 following the resistance to the Norman conquest. The current building is 900 years old.
This is just to give you an idea of how much history there is behind this place. I will bring more pics and info to the next club meeting but for now enjoy the pics. Let me know if you have any questions on these pictures and I will do my best to describe them for you.
This place is truly amazing and the pictures really don't do it justice.
