These pic's show how I made a chest mount for my Excal II and extra alkiline battery from a Whites Beachhunter ID chest mount halter. All I did was take the bag off that holds the BH ID , and made two holes in the neck strap ,I used quarter inch nylon bolts, nuts, and washers. works great. All knobs are very accessible. You could go to Wal mart or Home depot and get a quick release belt and a strap for the neck and make your own. nylon bolts work great for this also. Gene

How does it balance out though?

Gene, what head phones are those? Good work on the chest mount, looks like it works for you...Great hunting on all those rings also, looks like the east coast Nj and the west coasts Southern California is the place to be! ......................Joe

It Balances great, The way you see it setting on my chest is the way it stays. If you keep the lower belt not to loose. Gene

Just spent a full day on the beach with a new Excal II {Hunting & Video} and that is the only gripe I have with the new excal. I found with Ambient noise I missed a few faint targets in AM. After retracking the Area with the 800 & Mr.Gold Master's Petlor Phones convert...........Good Idea on the Soxs........HH ....Joe

Not sure if you have did this to your Yellow Phones
but silicon the drain holes help alot on the noise
.

Thanks Gene,
It looks great, with everything kept neat and tight. Looks as if there would be no moving around once you have everything adjusted.
That's a great help, Thanks again!

Hey, Gene, did you re-inforce the holes in the straps with anything. I really like that setup. I have a new Excal II on the way. Already have a straight shaft for it thanks to Normdiver but if I still find it too heavy I think I would like to chest mount it. This is how I use my Sov GT and I never get tired. Thanks. --Jerry

G'day Gene,
I like the extra battery pod attachment, not a bad idea at all mate.
Thanks for the idea Gene.
Cheers and HH
