Using the small coil I was able to pull out 13 artifacts from the iron infested area. The highlights being an 1803 Large Cent and a Confederate Lined I button. Sweet.

Hey wood chip hustler got a 1837 small date large cent my self plus a couple of nice buttons today!

Nice! I will post some pics. Using my Mac at the moment.
I'm willing to bet that Confederate Infantry Button would go for $100 -$175 here with ease. I would not be surprised to see it hit $300 because of its condition and Olive Patina. That is sweet for sure.Try to research that area THOROUGHLY with a fine tooth comb ok. Where there is one there bare more you can almost bet ok. I'll talk to some of the guys here ok ??? PEACE:RONB

Yes there may be. But at old Virginia Colonial sites anything will turn up. This is the sixth Confederate this past year at two different sites. I have been fortunate to detect the past 40 years in areas rich with relics. HH
