Pickelled eggs

Pete in MI

New member
I like them and have a question - Sherry is smart enough to not ask
but can one make pickelled eggs by hard boiling the eggs and dropping them into the left over juice from pickels? If so how long do they have to be left in the juice to be anything like store bought pickelled eggs?

Maybe a mute point anyway after watching Sherry put her hand in the pickel jar to fish for pickels - or was she washing her hands in juice

Maybe I should just go without or spend the money. If that does work I am now wondering if I throw sausages into the pickel juice ..... well ya see where my mind is going. Will hot dogs work in place of sausages?

I knew you all needed a good laugh. Happy Turkey Day to you all.

I tried it and after a long time, they just got green, and the juice never soaked in. I like them too and got a recipe, but they were not like pickeled eggs, they were more like spiced eggs. I didn't like them. I bet sausages and hot dogs would be the same. I think they need to be cooked into them.
