Picked up my My at pro this morning and went on a test run

Got my AT PRO around 9am and was took it to a very hard hit Civil War relic spot we hunt. This spot has been pounded by me and many others. he list of detectors used here covers them all.

Tehon, V3, Explorer, Etrack, Shadow X5, MXT, F75, and G2 just to name a few if you find any thing you did good.

The AT PRO was Very impressive. Dug some deep targets today.
Depth i was impressed. Was hunting in pro mode zero discrimination iron audio off. Dug any thing that gave a non iron tone.
Bullets read around 70 the deepest bounced around on the ID but did jump into the 60 70 range and gave a good tone.
Head phones had good sound and are comfortable but was windy this morning and the wind really whistles in them did not like that
may try the water proof or wire me up some good phones.

Balance was not as good as G2 but not bad. Thinking of rigging up a strait shaft for it.

Dug more than I thought I would. Also some hot cattle fences in the area and they gave the PRO no problems with interference.

Dug some bullets a eagle button back some kind of round brass maybe a button and some melted lead and a big flat button.

The Pro has no problems getting the deep targets. ground balanced around 79 to 86.

Here are a few pictures.

Looks like Garrett has a great new Relic machine, which they needed!

Good post!

Just the post that I've been waiting for..., and an informative post it was, too!

Thanks Jason!

I now know what a hunk of my profit sharing check is going towards.

Awesome!

BINGO ....Thanks for sharing this info .....As the frequency and the machine basically dictated from the beginning , it's gonna go down as a really nice relic machine ......That's where it's architecture was heading all along ( high frequency / extended iron range ) ......Glad to see it exceeding in this area ...Jim

Glad to see good things about the AT Pro. At the moment, it's at the top of the list for my next detector. I have plenty of headphones, the SunRay Pro Gold so far my favorite.

I have a couple of sites like yours, many good finds but not many left... and I wonder if you think you hit a hot spot or did the AT make finds that the other machines would not have found. Sometimes I will hit a pocket of finds at a pounded site. If the AT is this much better than the others then it is really a very special machine. Do you have any idea if these finds are just because of the AT or a combination of good detector and swinging the coil where you haven't swung before.

Now, I am not trying to diss the AT, it looks great, i've just hunted sites over and over and some days I find nothing, other days I find a handfull... if you think it was mostly because of the AT I am going to put my name on the waiting list and put a couple of machines on the market.

Thanks,

Julien

These were areas that have definitely been over. Time and time again. Last time out with the g2 in this same area. Got one bullet. The pro pulled a few that have been missed before. The ground was wet that could have helped a bit. It is as deep or deeper than any of the detectors mentioned. Last f75 hunt here got nothing.

It was Like most deep relics I dig I can tell there is a target there and it is not iron so I better check it out. The deep bullets did jump op to about 70 and give a high tone on a few passes.
