Picked up a new and very unusual detector today and it's a new Bounty HUnter..

Anyone ever hear of a Bounty Hunter "Prospector?" I can't find it on Bounty's web site or in the Kellyco catalog. It's a completely no frills machine that retails for $200. I haggled the store owner down to $99 and got the last one. It has no pinpoint or fancy features. The meter is a signal intensity only. The amazing thing is it has Bounty Hunter's patented Automatic Ground Tracking system, called "Automatic Ground Trac" and, their version of Scan Track, You can hunt saltwater beaches and for nuggets in black sand without making a single adjustment and in any highly mineralized ground without making any adjustments..

Has tone ID with three modes - all metal, tone, discriminate. Wonder if it's an experimental machine or what. Sure got my attention so I had to get it. :) Why would a $200 machine carry features that only machines costing 4-5 times as much carry. How many detectors have automatic ground tracking? And you can get a four and a ten inch coil for it. I've been trying to post a pic of it but my stupid scanner is acting up. So later on that.

Auto trac in a $200 detector - wow. Maybe there's still hope the next generation Ace detectors will have GB ?

Looks like you got a good deal on it. Must be a store brand for Bass Pro made by Bounty Hunter.
