I can attest to Doc's picks as I've had one for some time now and I have a super magnet inserted at top. so far the tip shows no sign of wearing down like alot of others, could very well be the last pick I will buy unless I lose it or it is stolen. Great product as usual Doc

Thanks Allen,

We have been accused of "over engineering" this pick. Maybe??!! But I am waiting for someone to break one. I don't think it will happen. As you know most of these type picks are made by taking disc harrows and cutting them into the shape of a pie. However, that means the harrow has already been hardened and it is a bear to cut them apart as they are hard hard hard. It is very labor intensive, and you go through cutting wheels like a water over a dam. In order to keep the price down we had to order 500 heads. At this quantity, we had them actually form the heads first, then we had them heat treated and hardened.

Let not your heart be troubled however, for the guys that want a little smaller and lighter pick we are hard at work trying to make that happen as well. However, we are probably looking at 3 months, before we have those available.

Thanks!

Doc
