I recently had my Dual Field stolen, I still have a PI Pro. I've had so much luck with the Dual Field I'm thinking of sending them my PI to have them switch the coil to the DF. Wondering if anyone has considered that?

Some DIRTBALL stole your DF. wow, I feel for u man, that sucks!!!

I hope u catch the Bas****!

Sorry to hear about your situation. I think you would be waisting your time and money switching coils. Its not going to work like the dual field. All you would be gaining is a larger coil (and I'm not sure the coil will even work with the PI pro). Good luck in whatever you decide.

sorry to hear some scumbag stole your dual field mate, can you claim on you insurance? nice idea about the dual field coil on the PI PRO, i would be interested to find out if the D F coil will work

I'm going to give Whites a call and see what they say.

I got out with old trusty PI Pro last Sunday and had an epic day, $ 8.90 in clad, 2 silver rings, 1 18K pendant and 1 14K gold charm. My wife went on a vacation and took the camera with her, when she gets back I'll post the pics.

We'll be getting some compensation from the insurance co and I am going to get another machine, haven't decided what to get yet. We still have 2 PI's. I'm thinking about an Excalibur or some other VLF to change it up a bit. I can't imagine that there's anything out there that can match the performance of my Dual Field.. On that hunt last Sunday, I got out there at 6:30am, low tide was at 7:00. I found the lane and followed it dead on for probably a half a mile. Every hit was a keeper. By 9:00 I was starving, so I went up to the snack bar which had just opened and got myself a breakfast burrito. When I got back down to the water, there was another hunter who picked up my lane about 100 yards ahead of me. These DF's are supposed to be the deepest and pick up what others miss so stayed in MY LANE right behind him and picked up one of the silver rings, the gold pendant and lot's of clad. When I finally caught up to him he was swinging a Minelabs Soverign. I'd follow one of those with my PI any day.
