Photos of NV Trip with AuMarc

Gerry in Idaho

New member
Ok folks..I think I have this photo posting down...or I hope so anyway.

AuMarc from TN came out west to do a little gold nugget hunting with me and a couple friends.

The weather was worthless (as expected for mid March) and the ground real noisey for the big GP's with mono coils.

One morning before the sun came up, I talked AuMarc into making a change of plans and trying to find a few relics from cowboys past and maybe even a coin or two that could have been lost near the saloon.

As you can see from the photos we had a wonderful morning with some dusty old finds and memories to share with loved ones when retruning home.

My finds (all with Explorer-II) are the 1868 Indian Head Cent, the 1896-S Barber Dime and my 1st Half Dime- an 1872 9which was soldered on the back and made into a button. Plus a Chinese Cash coin and some interesting artifacts.

The two photos of gold nuggets were found by one of our friends (Mark M from NV)while using the Minelab GP-3500. These nuggets have quite a bit of character and look much different than the average nugget. When you find unique shaped specimens such as these, you can certainly put your onw price tag on them and they will go for much more than gold weight.

Overall the trip was a success and we'll certainly try it again this Fall or early next Spring.

Thanks and Enjoy the photos.

It has a great macro and is the size of a package of cigarettes.

Thanks for all the great comments.

HMMM...i sure wish i could find nuggets that look like they have been cleaned with nitric acid and scrubbed with a toothbrush. mine are always dirty when they cme out of the ground.

:thumbdown:hey vindicator your opinion really doesn't matter. maybe you should take your midol and put in a new plug. extra large flow ... those nuggets have been cleaned . Gerry has dug more gold @ coins @ relics than most people could dream of and is a up front honest close friend of mine . so before you make yourself look more ignorant try being human and just keep to yourself.you cant even spell your name .:biteme: Mark M

Say gerry those are some great finds, and the gold is beautiful to say the least.....I don't know how your friend at least he said he was your friend MMSI got you tied into that post called BEWARE,but I don't think he was being fair with you...Have good day Gerry I loved those pics....wheelbubble....

FIRSTLY,
my name IS spelled correctly Vindcator isnt and wasnt supposed to be 'Vindicator"...it seems YOU are the idiot. secondly, i never mentioned any names whatsoever, now did i>?...whats wrong, do you know something the rest of us dont, or are Y-O-U the one whos guilty of being a cheat and a liar?......seems to me you have some sort of guilty conscience or something, or know something that the rest of us dont. why else would you ASSUME that i was talking about gerry?.....(kinda makes you wonder, doesnt it gents?)

i guess we will know sometime in the future wont we.......im sure once the name comes out and the persons minelab dealership is pulled, everyone will know.

anyway, why dont you do yourself a favor and not make it seem like your incriminating yourself or your "buddy"

one other thing..

im not supposed to wis that i could find nuggets that clean?....heck, every nugget ive ever dug looks like its been buried in the ground.

i think that MMSI guy or whatever his name is has a serious problem. seems to me he needs to take a few, go take his prozac or valium or whatever it is hes popping today and chill

wheelbubble , I don't remember mentioning any names in the beware post other than vindecator. and he deserves every slam he gets.

[attachment 23265 PC030005.jpg][attachment 23266 PC030006.jpg]vedicatr ,that must be how you @your friend find your gold. by following known hunters using your spotting scopes .to find where they hunt. now thats dirty business, i don't see how its possible ,to put a nugget at say 20"without disturbing the hard clay and bedrock and have it look right and natural.you would be able tell the ground was dug up allreadey.......thats if you know what your doing!!!!!!!

"vindcator":

1. We ASSUMED you were talking about Gerry because you responded to Gerry's post. Moron.

2. Some nuggets come out of the ground dirty, some come out looking like they're fresh from the mint. If you knew what you were talking about you'd know that. But, of course, as you stated, you only dig dirty ones - must be a very special kind of detector you have.

3. I've purchased a detector from Gerry, met him in Rye Patch, and found gold.

4. A friend of mine purchased a detector from Gerry, we met him in Oregon, and found gold.

5. I've been on a trip to Alaska with Gerry and found gold.

6. It's obvious your a jealous, insecure little troll trying to trash someone's fine, earned reputation. Gerry signs his posts "Gerry in Idaho" and anyone can find his website by putting "Gerry" and "detectors" into Google. No one can find anything about your identity - what rock are you hiding under?

7. If you want to know MY identity look at the 2005 Western & Eastern Treasures Silver & Gold Annual issue. In there is an article about nugget detector training with Gerry - I wrote it and my picture is on the cover.

Go back under your rock.

Hi All and Vindicator
I have only just caught up to these posts this morning and had hold myself back and read them twice in disbelief! Your idle mind can come up with some pretty good garbage, what is your motivation here?
Why won`t you identify yourself???
You seem to have a problem with someone that is able to make great finds on a REGULAR basis with HIS machine on HIS time(which is hard to come by because he is so busy)He also instructs many folks around this country(MOST OF THE TIME) on the finer points of prospecting for nuggets using a VLF or PI in and around Nevada,Oregan,Idaho,Alaska....
I have personally got to detect with him for pleasure and accompany him multiple times when he trains folks down in the RP area.

Now,
For all of you folks that don`t know Gerry let me say he takes this passion for nugget hunting seriously and just because he is very sucsessful in the field is no reason to doubt his and his customers results??All of my gold I have found has been when visiting when he`s training.I head out into the hills on my own and have been lucky. He taught me what a nugget sounds like using a PI detector(2 yrs. ago),I went out and found nuggets!!simple as that!!He is a tireless person that is rewarded for his hardwork and effort in promoting this great hobby we all love to share in!I have witnessed countless nuggets found by his customers that were natural placer nuggets detected and unearthed naturally!some of them 18" DEEP! BIG and SMALL!
None of these were salted as your idle mind may think!
Frankly I believe he is one of the FOREMOST Experts WORLDWIDE in the operation of a Minelab PI Detector,he has exceptional EARS for the SOFT DEEP SOUND OF A NUGGET.Very few people can differentiate this sound from GROUND NOISE.
This is why he makes such GREAT FINDS ON A REGULAR BASIS.MOST OF US CANNOT HEAR THESE AND WALK RIGHT OVER THOSE DEEP FRINGE AREA NUGGETS!
He can basically find these every time he is out there. He loves to teach people to TRY and HEAR those subtle sounds of deep gold and GUESS WHAT!!!Some of them MAKE GREAT FINDS!!!
Mark M. is a friend and also had his training a few years back and NEVER LOOKED BACK!!This guy is a nugget finding machine now!
Why can`t you accept that Vindicator?

I had him visit me this year to do some detecting for coins and relics on my turf here in Tennessee,he made find after find of civil war,old coins, jewlery and relics. So I guess your going to accuse me of salting the ground out here?

ALL OF THESE FINDS PICTURED HAVE BEEN FOUND WHEN DETECTING WITH GERRY
IN NEVADA AND TENNESSEE WITHIN THE LAST YEAR,These are only SOME my finds.
For those outhere that may need training at the HIGHEST LEVEL I can tell you Gerry is ONE OF THE BEST!
Those that know him please don`t be shy as I`m sure you all have similar things to say.
ALL OF MY NUGGETS NEEDED VERY LITTLE CLEANING!

Marc

The drama never ends. What great finds .I see the weather was bad , but you turned the trip into a great one. TO ALL THAT READ THIS TAKE NOTE, IF YOU WANT TO LEARN AND HAVE A GREAT TIME AND FIND SOMETHING,GOLD OR RELICS. GERRY WILL PUT YOU IN THE AREAS TO FIND IT AND IF YOU DON'T THATS NOT GERRY'S FAULT. HE'S ONE OF THE BEST AT DETECTING.
