From the land of the Bluenose....since I'm going to spend so much time here in the next 8 days thought I'd give you a photo tour of the place.

First stop is the international arrivals where folks arrive from outside of Canada and go through customs. Suspended from the ceiling is a 3/4 replica of the Silver Dart.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc025b0a83d00000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

In the baggage area a model of a very famous schooner is on hand for all to see. Ummmm..can't recall the name....right!<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc02181293e00000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

For those arriving from domestic flights ...the world revolves over head as you come down the escalators.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc02441696400000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

Recently added is this mosaic which graces the departures on the rotunda for domestic departures. Was really a blast watching them work on this and only glad I didnt have to pay for it.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc02440e85500000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

Of course in the airport we actually have birds that fly throught the lower level while this bouy stands guard in departures.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc02437691200000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

When on the apron I have to watch out for these puppies who would make short work of my patrol car.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc02180a80f00000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

We get them at all sizes from the large<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc02185293a00000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

To the medium<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc025b6a83b00000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

To the small<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc0218ca80300000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

And those weird ones with no wings<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc025b2a83f00000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

And those that haul freight instead of bouys<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc02199292600000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

Here is an Air Canada jet at a bridge getting loaded with baggage and people for a jaunt to Montreal.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc02186a80900000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

Took this shot while doing a perimeter gate check. Shows the main airport minus the hanger line.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d605b3127cce8cc02442e85700000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

I really enjoyed the tour . I work for a freight co that is located right next to Detroit Metro airport and I spend a lot of time at the airport also.

Have fun while there! :)
