Photo of a sun ray intruder S-8 needed Plz

Hi, I have just bought a second hand coil from a dealer, I am a bit worried the coil wire has been changed or shortened.

All the photos of new ones have a black cable, mine is gray, and it is quite short, there is enough cable to reach the control box if its mounted on the rear under the elbo, but that about it, NO WAY enough to hip or chest mount the control box.

Is this lengh and colour (gray) normal for the Intruder S-8 ?????

It was black on the newer ones, not sure when the gray ended and the black begin. We were able to get 2 different length cables too, the normal one and the shorter one for those the use a meter or didn't ever hip mount, but if I remember right it still should have been long enough to reach the control box if it was mounted under the arm cuff.
