Not so. A real lot of know how, and a great detector.
Why not drop him a note & ask him for his advice ?? I'm not saying this to be a wise axx, I am aware that your new to using a PI on the beach.
You may not be hitting the amount he does so easy, but you should be hitting on gold rings by now. At least 1 every couple of days. It takes a bit of study of the area, and learning how to hunt more wisely.
