Petersburg KY trip

My family and I are heading out that way for a mini vacation and my son and I were wondering if anyone in the area could recommend a spot to find a few pennies. We are looking for a park or beach that is "metal detector" friendly---not a hot spot---just a nice spot. If you are in the area and would like to join us (or us join you) for a one day hunt let me know. We are going out the 14th of May and leaving on Sat.the 19th. Thanks, Joel from Pa.

Hey Joel. I'm from PA too. What county are you from? I'm in Luzerne county near Wilkes-Barre. Good luck on your trip. HH. Matt

From York, Pa. Thanks!!

From what I have read on these forums, Kentucky is not a detecting-friendly state at this point in time. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Even if so, that would only be for state managed/owned lands , not city , county , or private . (despite any archies trying to say otherwise)
