Personal Best Silver Day For Me This Weekend

I was able to get out for some long hunts this weekend and headed to the old Pittsburgh parks to meet up with some friends. I was using the 17" coil because for me it seems to hit more solidly on the deeper coins with a better TID/tone. Saturday, I started out with a 1945 Merc at about 5". A couple of hours later, I got a nice tone/ID with some thunking at the end of my sweeps. Screen showed 11", so I dug down and got a Barber spill, which was my first silver spill. Ended up being a 1902 O Barber Quarter and a 1916 Barber dime. Hit up another old park on Saturday and ended up getting 6 silvers, 5 Mercs and 1 Rosie. That was my best silver day ever. I also got about $12 in clad, a mystery copper coin that is smooth (I can't make out anything), 19 wheats (oldest is 1911), and an Indian.

Dang! I need one of those 17"ers!

Congrats. Nice group of coins. The old man looks out of place...... but hey......someone has to look out for the ladies. Besides that, he's 90% silver too. Take what you can get! Nice hunts. HH Randy

Sweet! That's a lot of silver! Very nice!

Fantastic.........:clapping:

That's a great hall WTG , still waiting for a barber quarter with the ctx , been a while since I dug one . sube

Thanks everyone for the comments!!! I know days like that don't come around too often, so I am trying to enjoy it while it lasts!!!

Congrats wtg

if you wet that smooth large coin you might see some more details. maybe even enough to get some clues as to what it might be..
