Persistence at the demo site.

Was back at the demo site today. Stuck with the small coil on my Golden and found a V nickle and some other items. I was pretty excited when the V flipped outta the ground. Lot of time in this site for two mercs and the V, but I'll take them. I started to do a happy dance when the large silver token flipped out. It landed at a funny angle and my first thought was, "SILVER DOLLAR"... still an interesting find, a Stardust gaming token from Las Vegas. I don't guess I can cash that one in now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmZJc68zyAA

The usual other cast of characters were found, I didn't bother posting the zincolns or the can slaw. The large cat's eye button is interesting, still haven't determined what material it is made of.

Hope y'all had a great day diggin.

Looks like a great site! Like the V looks to be in purty good shape, who knows maybe there is a little gold there also
so keep it low and keep it slow. Good Luck and H.H.

way to go, nash, i'm glad your're uncovering some good stuff before it gets built over with something new. congrats on the old coins. your persistence is admirable! what year is the v nickel? thanks, and hh,

The V is a 1911, The track-hoe crunched some gravel on it and knocked the patina off. I didn't hit this one... We never hit any old coins with our diggers, do we??? My improvised lighting system for the photo didn't work real well. (led flashlight leaning on a stack of wash rags. There's probably a redneck joke hid in there some where.
