perfume and essence bottles

Hello all,
Thought I'd share a few of my finds in the perfume and essence bottles range. Hope you like the photos and find them helpful.
Cheers Angela:)

Hi, Angela. I'm a little late looking at these but they are very nice. In the bottom photo, the bottle in the middle, is it filled with something or is this just the way the glass looks? Also, the bottle on the left, did you find it with the stopper? All are very nice. Someday I'm going to have to go on a real bottle dig. Have a good one.
Jerry

Hello Jerry,
The middle glass bottle has part of the old label still attached to it, also the glass just looks that way, with the brown stain because it was found in a dump along with old embers, rusted objects and burnt items. It took on the stain, particularly at the bottom right hand corner of it. None of these bottles were found with the glass tops, except the bottom left, an old Roger and Gallet perfume. Did I mention at some stage, I found a dump accidentally while detecting for other sounds? I just couldn't believe it. I pulled out about 150 bottles, not including the broken ones, the burnt and rusted cans, old lanterns, horse shoes, even a fabric curtain tassel! Don't ask me how that survived!
Cheers Angela:minelab::shrug::)

I metal detect with one of the best bottle diggers in my hometown and now that we went detecting together he can't put it down. Funny we never dug any bottles together. I'll have to mention it to him.

Hello Brandon,
It a great hobby, one I began with before getting into metal detecting. But to accidentally find a dump while detecting, well, that was a big plus for me! You have every chance of finding a bottle dump with a detector. Bottles weren't the only things buried, old metal and rusted metal objects, like old lanterns, tin cans, brass bed head bits and other relics come up on a detector using no discrimination. Happy Hunting for either!!
Angela:)
