On page 41 in the manual under finding a cache , searching in all metal motion mode is the deepest and
if the cache is even deeper search in stat mode and frequently pull the trigger to maximize the sensitivity
has anyone tried this..I know most say JE is the deepest if its usuable here in the states..and the UK says
pf mode is the deepest....I was just re-reading the manual and it caught my eye..I;ll have to try it out..sweet machine..james

I would have to say PF is the least deep IMHO. It "widens" the ground balance tolerance to accomidate the jumbled up soil of plowed fields and the need to keep the coil floating over irregular height ground. If the conditions call for it (as in plowed fields) it will no doubt be an advantage to use it. But in a park or the woods I would guess it less deep.

Stat mode just went nuts when I played with it and I never got to the point I wanted to risk searching with it - possibly just my area and the soil, microwaves, sun-spots, whatever. No good going deep when the hemoglobin in worm blood keeps the detector screaming non-stop. I suppose that would be intended for huge, deep targets from what I get on that (My manual only goes to page 38? Whazupwithat??)

Hey charlie go here he has the full version you can load up..for some reason i liked reading it better in the big print on the screen..gosh getting old is the pits..lol..heres the link..

That one's still only 38 pages (39 if you count the seperate "Read This First" sheet that was loose in the box).

Am I missing three pages worth of explanatons, tips & ideas!!!!

Ahh. I see the old-new post that was just added. Did they add a cover page and maybe a detail shot of the display showing all the pizels on (which I wondered why they didn't to begin with)? That would 'splain it.

You are missing this-can't read it? Neither can I without high powered magnifiers that I use to tie flys, hence my previous post that was deleted when I complained about the "new Manual" (not about the detector) but as you can see there is a drastic difference between old and new

correct the new is smaller and 43 pages with the 5 year warranty info on the back of the last page..but like I posted Fisherf75.com has the whole manual and it will blow up so it can be read..

I could only find the 38 page manual on Fisherf75.com. Anyone know where I can download the new manual with 43 pages? Thanks.
Oda

IMHO you will gain much more info reading the posts and asking questions in this forum than from the manual:rofl:

Humm it looked to be word for word of the small new manual i have ..my F75 is just a few months old..and I was back and forth reffering from the manual to what was on andys site..unless he left off a few of the front pages I was toward the back..????
