penny rejection & sunglasses - observations

Well Max, no miracle again.. wanna dig gold than work hard and dig penny, :no pity: :twodetecting:

It should be called "partial discrimination". If you want gold, you have to dig everything but iron. If you want everythng but aluminum you are just SOL.

Standby.

why oh why did you have to show me this. I was out today and had hundreds of hits in 12-28, 12-38, 12-25, 12-26 and after seeing this I could be passing up Gold. Seems like all I dug was those darn beavertails! I guess the good part is I can go back and hit is again and again. I also ordered the 6" coil so it should also make it easier to separate the targets. I couldn't move a foot without getting hits and it is absolutely loaded with aluminum.

Tinted glass decreases the (light) intensity of everything by the same amount. Polarized glass selectively eliminates the reflection from light. Most of the glare that makes you want to wear sunglasses comes from horizontal surfaces, such as a body of water. When light strikes that surface, the reflected waves are polarized to match the angle of that surface. So the highly reflective horizontal surface of that body of water will produce a lot of horizontally polarized light. Most polarized sunglasses are laminated with tiny vertical stripes that only allow vertically angled light to enter the wearer's eyes. Glare is eliminated because the horizontal light waves cannot bypass the vertical filter. However, those tiny little stripes can distort the way we see liquid crystal displays, some cell phone screens, gauges in your dashboard, etc.

So, in the words of Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard..... go get yourself some Cheap Sunglasses. HH Randy
