Pennies $$$

Dream Catcher

New member
Hi everybody,

So this is what I heard on ABC radio while driving to work.

Pennies minted before 1982 (that contain more copper than pennies minted after '82) are worth MORE. Makes sense. In other words, $100.00 in pennies is worth $176.00 if the were minted before 1982.

Also, congress is considering eliminating the penny. They are also considering allowing them melted down for the copper.

Take care

!982 pennies can be either copper or zinc. The mints changed mid year. I sort out and keep all the copper pennies.

When the penny is eliminated, the ban on melting down pennies will be removed. Bank on it. And count on the penny biting the dust at some point, in fact it costs more than a penny to mint a zincer.

If you want to hoard copper pennies, you will make a profit down the road. At the very least you can stockpile the ones you dig. You have to ask yourself how much free space do you have? A significant quantity of pennies will also be heavy. How strong are your floorboards?

Meesa gonna be richsa!!!

I have 2 milk gallon jugs full of wheaties.

Gonna start saving ALL my copper coins...

HH,

Hey, those 2 milk gallons may be able to buy dinner and a show. Nice to a mke a little money with a hobby...:clapping:
