these are all the surface pennies find the last 2yr.. .my thing is why do pennies get so ltttle respect i find so many pennies huntting and i just pick them up and put them i my pouch...what do you think?

yeah Formon, penny's are most folks cast offs. Yet, like you, I pick them up at store parking lots, near cash registers, drive-thru's, out detecting, and anywhere else I see 'em. Cause to me that huge heaping pile of gleaming zinc and copper means I can cash them in and go buy some silver Eagles or Philharmonics!!:bouncy: And thanks for dumping them out of the coffee "can", you really see what a huge pile it is!!

We clean out foreclosed properties and ever single home will average 10-20 pennies per house just laying on the floor. To me thats money too.HH That is a wad of pennies!!!

I have bought several gold coins with mine before the price of gold sky- rocketed.

Thats a great shot of a pile of pennies! And those were just the surface ones? Nice...I get em all too, figure I'm out, takes no effort or time to snatch 'em up...when I run dirty clad through the Coinstar, the pennies pay the tab...

I'm the same way. I ALWAYS pick up every one I see (above or below the ground). Every penney is 10% of a dime and you'd never walk away from a dime. My Mom always said that a penney is a lot of money if you don't have it!!!

Nice collection of pennies. Hope you're checking them for error coins. I weigh every 1983 penny I find or get in change.

Love me a penny. Just can't walk by them and not pick them up. HH

On January 20th I posted my biggest pile of pennies I ever found in one area. They cant get by me, I keep a big can for them. They all help pay for things in their own little way.

Are things that bad???? that's what I was told a few weeks ago as I was picking up change in the gas station parking lot a long with 8 one dollar bills:clapping:

Yep. "A penny saved is a penny earned" is still true, I always pick 'em up when I see one. I have to admit that I sometimes only dig the copper ones, as my time and energy is worth more than a rotten zincoln... usually after I've dug a cup or two of the vile creatures! :stars:
