pennies and dimes

I've only hunted coins twice now with my V3, mostly hunt relics. My dimes I found the other night came up solid each and every time with a penny icon. Is that normal?

I did some air testing a few minutes ago in the common program with a zinc penny, a copper penny and a clad dime. The zinc penny came up with screw cap/zinc penny icons, not sure of the vdi, didn't look. The copper penny came up with dime/penny icons at a vdi of +73. The clad dime came up as a copper penny icon only at a vdi of +72.
 
I would say that is normal and that is how I mostly tell the difference between the two. Cents tend to bounce around the VDI a little in my ground, while dimes are usually pretty solid unless they are very deep.
 
I dig pennies anyway..so I guess it doesn't really matter. I just thought that the dime should have come up higher than the copper penny. I'll redo my test later with a silver dime and see what happens.
