PEB

Cody. I sent my Mine Lab Explorer II in to Mine Lab to get fixed. When I got it back today, they said the coil was most likely the problem, and that they reseated the PEB. What is the PEB? Just curious.
Thanks Tom

Tom,
Here is an observation.
* When circuit boards first came into existence. They were called "PCB"s for printed circuit boards.
* Then someone decided to change it because there were really no circuits on the unassembled board. They called the bare board a "PWB" which stood for printed wiring board.
* Since the Explorer comes from an Austrailian company, the may use "PEB" to stand for printed electronics board. But, this is just a guess on my part.
HH,
Glenn

It could be PCB but the c is looped back. The receipt is written in cursive and hard to read. If there is a PEB, I would like to know what it is. I took a picture of the receipt and was trying to send a picture of it, But in the pre view it looks distorted. But I'll send it anyway. Thanks for the help Cody and Varmit and Captain Kirk. You guys are awesome.

The reason I say this is I think any detector that goes in for repair where they open the control box they reseat the 2 curcuit board. They have to take them apart and being they plug into one another, so when they put it back together they are reseating the printed curcuit board. I beleive I have seen this on all those I have sent in for repair, I guess they could just put took it apart and put it back together again.
I remember hearing several having a problem when they were out of warrenty and opening them up to see the 2 board has pulled apart a little from vibration or dropping and by pushing them back together (reseating them) they work fine.
