Because of you, I went out and got a soldering wand and will attempt my first project of hooking up Grey Ghost underwater headphones to a Garrett Infinium headphone connector and now I see this !!
Yes that has always been my theory on the T and F coils....I may make and adapter which would cut down on the load in my Day pack.....
the SEF is for the F75 LTD,,,,,,on the LTD it is neck and neck with the stock coil.....But on bigger targets like belt plates and breast plates it is DEEEEEEP... On the Bug it is like it was made just for it ....14 inches on a nickel at 85 sensitivity setting.....which i feel i will be able push it up a bit in the field.."Plates are off the chart"...iron see thru and numbers on display are all on the money and LOCK pretty deep.....but the audio will go a bit deeper than the meter ....but the audio signature alerts you to the fact that it is a Fringe target and beyond.....So to put it in plain English.... this coil goes on right out of the box.....as a dealer I usually get a nice discount from KellyCO.....on anything i order from them .....They are good folks and Me and Shawn where responsible for getting them to order the first 12X15 coils for LTD's T2 and F75.......they have got a little pricey since then .....but everything in life usually aint about money ....its about having the right tools for the right task......being versatile
S.E.F. coil on my MXT...It really woke that detector up in the depth department....
Good to know it is working well on the GB....
I have a few area's...Camp Sites to be exact that could some extra depth help ...
I have some pretty bad dirt in area's here and the GBSE is the first detector I have had that will actually pull Buttons out of deep red clay....
I was thinking of a P.I. fo rthe deeper Brass but after experiencing what I have in the last couple of month's with the GBSE I am not sure I really need a Dig it all P.I. type instrument with no dic capabilities ...The GBSE is working well and if the S.E.F. coil will get deeper then hey I am All for that....With the excellent disc ability of the GBSE I might one happy camper without all the iron trash digging a P.I. will require..
First Texas really figured ouit how to get a a VLF machine to perform in funky dirt.....
No Lie I dug a spencer casing last week in some red Oxide 6 bar dirt at 15 inches...I marked it on my digger and measured it when home...Not a great hit but a hit that some other high ends wont hit because of the noise being generated on max gain...
I have also found some buttons at good depth actually great depth in 4-5-6- bar dirt even cuffs at the 8 inch range !!!
Thanks for the info!
Might need to get one...
I have a G2 on order so When it arrives??? I hope it is at least on par with the GBSE...If it's more
But as of right now the GBSE is the one to beat...
