im hoping i can find the battery pack that accepts 4 c batts and ill deff get rechargeable i maneged to get the stock rechargeable abttery to 5.5 volts though

i cant with 2 charges both whotes one maxd 4.8v and the other was 6.0

after a few hours and no progress on the standard recomended charger no improvement from 4v i put it on the other charger i get to 5.5v

i just have to babysit the stronger charger but it did the trick put a massive charge in a 19yr old battery

C cell battery case for Alkaline batteries can still be ordered from Whites, after the rechargeable battery that came with the detector finally went bad after 20+ years, I ordered one so I could carry a back up battery pack with me. I have had mine since they first came out and still use it regularly. The coils are interchangeable with my XLT and IDX Pro.
