Paul, how about posting the MXSport settings you like to use in one place

You've had some experience now with the MXSport. The setting you like on one page would be nice. I would be happy with just the settings for Relic Mode, all metal and prospecting modes.

Hello Rick,

With the difference firmware, these below apply with the latest. Some of these settings may not have the same results with the earlier revisions. But they will work with the latest, these are great settings for my type of Hunting.

(Prospecting and All Metal mode) A SAT setting between 3-4 depending on mineralization. Use just enough SAT to handle black sand mineralization, use Salt mode when needed. Zip Zip detection use
VCO on position.....These settings are for tough sand or tough dirt for those searching for nuggets or gold jewelry. Gold jewelry from lakes, rivers with black sand.

(Inland Gold jewelry) Select Relic mode, bump up SAT to 8. Select 4-tone, VCO on, Discriminate all iron, then set REJ VOL between 20 or 30. What REJ VOL does is help me separate iron tone from the lowest of 4-tones. The iron tone is suppressed, lower than normal. For those who prefer to hear iron, this is a neat setup allowing the user to tell the difference between iron and the lowest conductive tone. Otherwise, Without this feature it is next to impossible to tell the two tones apart. The increased SAT auctally shortens the tone, much more snappier and helps me in tight situations especially in trashy areas, areas with iron or detecting near Metal poles. Plus, No loss of depth bumping up SAT with Relic mode.

(Park hunting) Select Relic mode, basically the same as inland jewelry setup only one can select 2-tone, 4-tone which ever the user prefers. But I perfer to use 2-tone and no discrimination perfer to hear all audio including iron. SAT at 8, Perfer a snappy audio maximum SAT in Relic mode gives me that quicker audio. VCO on, it auctally helps with pinpoint mode. Audio Mod, hard to tell appart from on or off so I leave it off.

These settings are for the latest firmware, I know some of these settings will not work on earlier firmware because I've gone through three versions.

Wish I had time to share more, leaving for work here in a few minutes.

Try SAT 8 with Relic mode, please share if you're hearing the snappier tone as I am. Or others MX Sport users please share as well.

Take care,
Paul

Oops, did I forget to post my Relic setup? I'll post that tomorrow.

Thanks Paul. That will give me a starting point. My ground is mild. Can't wait to start using it. The Re... didn't work for me. To chatty and falsing and missing to much so I look forward the MXSport and the plus is it's waterproof. Should have it next week. It will be in the water too soon.
