Does anyone else besides me have trouble understanding how to save a pattern and then transfer the pattern to the User Mode? The Manual just doesn't seem to help much. Because of this I decided to sit down and write out what I hope will be easy to follow directions, particularly for the new E-Trac owner.

Making and saving a pattern

Press the "Menu" button
Scroll across to "Discrimination" using the right or left Navigation buttons.
Scroll down to "Edit" using the down Navigation button.
Select areas to discriminate out by using the Navigation buttons and the Accept/Reject button as described in the manual.
To save press the "Detect" button.
The "Load pattern into Smartfind" message will appear. Press the right or left Navigation button while on "Yes".
Press the "Menu" button.
Scroll to "Discrimination" using the right or left Navigation button.
Scroll down to "Save" using the down Navigation button.
Press the right Navigation button.
Scroll down to a slot using the down Navigation button.
Press the right or left Navigation button.
Your new pattern will be saved in the selected slot.

Save a pattern in User Mode

Press the "Menu" button.
Scroll across to "Discrimination" using the right or left Navigation button.
Scroll down to "Select" using the down Navigation button.
Press the right Navigation button.
Scroll down to a slot.
Press the "Detect" button.
Press the "Menu" button.
Scroll down to "Save" using the down Navigation button.
Press the right Navigation button.
Scroll down to a slot using the down Navigation button.
Press the right Navigation button.
Press the "Detect" button.
Your pattern will be saved as a mode in the selected slot.

Hope this will help,

Ag
