Patriot meter.

The Patriot meter is a well thought out meter and the auto calibration works good for those that have a problem calibrating the meter. The back light is one of the best I have seen for those that like to night hunt, but other than that I feel a good 180 meter like the Sun Ray or the rescaled Minelab digital meter to 180 will respond faster and give a better ID with the digital numbers.
Like I say the Patriot is well built and some time put into it, but a little big I feel and cost is a bit high too. It may benefit the person new to the Sovereign, but once you know the Sovereign I feel one of the 180 meter will work better and tell you more about the deeper targets as the digital numbers will respond much faster than a needle on a meter.

Okay

Where can I find the add on meters for a Sovereign GT?
Also where can I find a probe and who makes the best one?

i pretty much have to agree with rick here also. i use a patriot meter on my sovereign GT. best night light i came across. great for beach hunting at night. the response is fast. if you need it any faster like at a blink of an eye you might need to work for nasa or something like that. iron sentry is a nice optional mood. when it says iron its iron. i have mine mounted on top of the handle so its right in your face which is good. its like a big screen tv. set up is easy and meter doesnt pump around. it locks in nice. sun light doesnt effects it like the sovereign meter if you get into angles where the sun hits the meter and you cant read it. i like the big screen.
i think its a good meter but have found that a meter is a meter is a meter. your not going to find anymore targets with the patriot then with the sovereign meter. i found my meter on ebay and got it cheap. brand new i think they're over priced. its just another metal detecting prop.

I called Sun Ray this afternoon and they no longer make that meter.
