We were waiting for confirmation of the PATH Fun Hunt till after 10:00. Since neither of us got an Email and nothing was on the forum here, we were tired of waiting around and so we took off hunting on our own. Packed the dogs up and off we went. Had a great time and the weather held out. Would have been better if we could have hunted with the group. Hopefully others went out and did some detecting too!

\We're guessing the hunt was canceled but then again, nothing was posted or any Email sent out. :confused: What happened to our communication skills? :rolleyes:
 
Unknown, I requested am email be sent to the membership at the meeting, I checked regular and junk files but didn't receive one. I arrived at the park at 7:30am without my phone (wife chewed me out when I got home) planted three tokens, hunted for an hour then sat at a table to read till others showed up. Weather was fantastic, cloudy and not hot. Many nice things were found. Left at 3:30pm as others still hunted but I was wore out.

We will have to check our Communication and email list again to see if it is broken. I will request a test email be sent out by the secretary to verify compliancy and accuracy.
 
Well yeah, it would have been nice to have confirmation as stated. Unreal. I'm not blaming you at all Steve. Why isn't the President doing anything except givng orders? Something has GOT to be changed. Larry is fed up and so am I. This is twice that we've been in the dark about hunts and no telling about other members also. :veryangry: This is BS!! Again!!
 
Steve, I had given all the right Emails of the club members in one group to the Secretary and he had stated how easy it was to send the Newsletter from the list I gave him. :shrug: I would think the President would be communicating more so with the members as well.
 
We read that in the Newsletter (Club Minutes) that was dated the 25th and with clouds, forecasts of rain, etc. we didn't know if it would still be on and also Hunt Chairman stated the 31st that an Email will be sent out. So we waited............

Oh well, another time.
