A member of our church gave our pastor a whites SL-1 classic and he found a 1866 nickel with it. I don't know if it's a shield nickel or 3 cent piece, but he's bringing it to church Wednesday night for a look. I found a 1974 & 2001 penny at our church yesterday and 2 other items that look like parts of buttons. I look forward to going metal detecting with him in the future. He has permission to search these old churches and I hope we can find something special. I printed him a manual and he's really going strong with it.
